Lisianthus

This is our number one selling crop.  We love our lisianthus! 

They are an excellent replacement for roses and local flower farmers like us can grow them here in our climate more successfully! 

We order these in as plugs each season because they take a long time to start and grow from seed.  We plant them in the fall then baby them all winter and spring until they bloom in mid to late June with a huge tall first flush.  Then we continue to harvest second and third flushes with smaller stems right until the end of October when we have to rip them out to replace them with new crops to overwinter in our tunnels!  From order to bloom it takes about a year and half to bring these babies to you! 

The first flush lisis are 18-24"+ with multiple side breaks and at least 3 or more blooms open on each stem.  Then their vase life is generally 2 weeks and sometimes more!

Second flush lisis are 12-24" with 1-3 blooms per stem.
