Volunteering at Wind Haven

Have you ever wanted to volunteer regularly at a small-scale sustainable farm? Do you love flowers, plants, or all things natural? Or do you ever crave more time to be outdoors?  Do you have a time you could commit to each week during our season as needed?  Come VOLUNTEER with us!  We have a limited amount of Volunteer opportunities for the 2025 season.

We are located near Central Garage, in King William County Virginia.

We do ask that our volunteers commit to a regular schedule weekly for most of our growing season, or as needed.  It takes a while for everyone to get in the groove of things, and to make it worth it for us we need regularity.  This could be a couple hours, a half day, or a full day depending on your availability.  Monday-Thursdays. We trial volunteers at first because this has to be a win win for everyone.

We have two ways to Volunteer:

1. Outdoor Volunteering-  This is for folks that are more physically active, want to be outside and can do all manner of tasks in all positions as needed from week to week. If it is dumping rain, and we only have outside tasks, volunteer hours would be cancelled. We have 1-2 opportunities for this type of volunteering.

2. Indoor Volunteering-  This is for folks that may not be able, or want to crawl across the ground, bend, lift, etc.  We do ask for at least a half day commitment for this one and it must be on Tuesday.  This day would be devoted to making our bouquets.  We have 1-2 opportunities for this volunteering.
